Just Keep on Editing.

Image
Hey my lovelies, here is another update with my music video! For filming and redoing any clips, I've fully completed it. As for the editing, I have made it half-way with the major editing. Things such as splicing all of the clips, adding the music, adding sfx, and more. For the important editing phase, I just nee to do the rest of the clips I haven't been able to get to. Now, I need to create/add onto the transitions to make it look more smooth. I would also like to make it seem like a citematic music video by adjustings things like the exposure and saturation of the shots. That way, it could have a dreamy feeling to the first few and ending clips compared to the middle of the end. But, that could just be me and I could be the only one who feels like that about the change of filters. But, I think the different editings of the clips, will enhance the feeling of dullness of reality compared to the craziness of dreams. What I'm going for, is to making it look like there is two

The Trail and Error Phase...

Image
Hello my lovely pookies, I'm gonna be talking about my editing phase for this music video. When it came to editing, I used CapCut like all my other projects I did in the past. As you can't already tell, I love using CapCut whenever I can use it. It's just a very reliable app, it is also very easy to use. Anyone can easily understand and know how to operate it right off the bat. The main struggle I encountered has to be finding the right clip that'll fit with both the song and my vision. This is because of how some of the timing of the clips I filmed and liked did not go smoothly in the music video. So, I had to scrap it and redo the scene again. Although it was tedious, it is what it is. It took more time to re-record and make sure it fitted with the song, it would always feel great when I am finally able to get a useable shot. It could be just me, but it was definetly awkard as I tried to avoid people trying to do their own thing. I was worried someone would try to ge

BIG day, film day

Hey, my dear viewers, it has been quite a hectic week. For the past few days, it's been nothing but work, work, work. However, I did manage to film some clips for my music video. For the first shots I made, I decided to just film all of the shots that would be in my house since that was the most efficient. It was convenient since we did not have to walk far compared to TY Park. So, I decided to just use my phone camera, since I do not have any cameras in my house. First shot, I used the desk to film from an angel so it mostly showed the cards and table. The only thing other than that was the hand that would work the cards. So, we timed the shot so we didn't have to film more than we needed to. It took several tries, but we managed to make it work. Second shot, I filmed my sister from behind during the day. It also took a few attempts to make it look like in my vision. After the shot, I marked where my sister's feet were so I could stand there as well. Third shot, I made my

The Start of Something Fresh

Hey, my pookies! I've got a few new things to share with you! For my music video, I got a few things for the video. Even though I didn't have to buy anything, I used it as a excuse to buy cute things. So, I took this to my advantage for my personal gain. It seems a bit selfish, but does help my project. Afterall, who can resist buying small unnesesary things? For the actors in the video, I decided to use myself and my sister. This is because we're able to see each other after school and it's not hard to contact her. When it comes to editing, I decided to go for CapCut. This is due to the fact that I'm very familiar with the editing app compared to others. I beileve that with this app will help me bring out the most of my creativity. Familiarity does help with people's confidence and skills. For our schedules, I decided to push and make it more sutible for our time. Since, both of us are pretty busy and need to free their schedules. However, I will start as soon

Slide 7: Camera tilts up and fades to the sky, shows the name of the song. Slide 8: Fades to actor two in the park, walking aimlessly. Slide 9: As the camera pans, a tree goes in front of the camera and it's now actor two running, searching for actor one. Slide 10: Another tree passes, and it's back to actor one. Slide 11: The camera pans and goes over actor one's shoulder, revealing actor two who was in front of actor one. Slide 12: Jump cuts to actor two in their bed

What a Team

For the music video, I have decided to work alone instead of in a group. There were a multitude of reasons why I decided to work alone. This happened because my friends in media studies already had the maximum number of people in their groups. Also, I didn't want to ask people I did not know. Another reason is that I was concerned about not participating enough to the point where I couldn't really talk about the contributions I made to the music video. Even though it may be more difficult since I will have to do all of the work. I think it will be alright since I have adapted to being by myself. Yes, I did want to work in a group, but there's nothing to it if everyone I know already has groups with the maximum amount of people. Besides, it will also give me more freedom when it comes to this and I will not feel awkward or self-conscious about my actions. Also, I'll be able to do my work without being held back or having to do someone's work. The more that I think ab

Intro to Music Production

Hey, my name is Melissa, but (mostly) everyone calls me Noa. Ever since I was a child, I was reticent and observant. I remember in kindergarten, I would sit in a corner of the playground during recess and wait until it was over. I guess it wasn't normal, since my teacher asked me if I was okay. Throughout my life, I've had a rough time being open to people with my interests and preferences. However, I've gotten better at communication and starting up conversations. My interests are playing mobile games, drawing, reading mangas, and watching anime. When it comes to fears, I am scared of commitment and not being able to satisfy others.  Things I do not like are doing homework, being inefficient, being left out, and bitter melon soup. Something I hate is when someone is not as efficient as me and takes more steps than they need to. In the past, I wanted to be a veterinarian, but my younger self decided to change due to the amount of years you would have to do. But now, I wan
